Who we are
HomeUpgrade.ie is an Irish website that helps homeowners find SEAI home energy grants. We are the data controller for any personal information you provide through this site. You can contact us at hello@homeupgrade.ie.
What we collect and why
Grant navigator answers
When you use the grant navigator (property type, age, BER rating etc.) this information is processed in your browser to calculate your eligibility. It is not stored on our servers unless you submit the form below.
Contact form (results page)
If you request your grant report, we collect your name, email address, and optionally your phone number, county, budget, and timeline. We use this to email you a PDF summary of your results and, if you opted in, to connect you with a verified local SEAI-registered installer.
Partner enquiry form
If you submit the contractor/partner form, we collect your name, company, email, phone, and county to respond to your enquiry.
Cookies and analytics
We use PostHog for anonymous site analytics (page views, which steps users complete) to help us improve the tool. PostHog only loads if you accept cookies. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are used.
You can change your cookie preference at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for this site, which will show the consent notice again on your next visit.
How long we keep your data
We retain lead submission data for up to 2 years or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first. We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties other than the SEAI-registered installer you explicitly request to be connected with.
Your rights
Under GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Have your data corrected or deleted
- Withdraw consent at any time
- Lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission ↗
